GET CREATIVE ON EARTH DAY
What began as a simple environment teach-in by Unites States Senator Gaylord Nelson in 1970, quickly became known as Earth Day around America . In 1990, Earth Day went international and is now celebrated in over 175 countries. April 22nd is a day intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s natural environment. There are plenty of ways to honor Earth Day. You can ride your bike to work, plant a tree, make a commitment to learn about the environment, begin recycling if you haven’t already done so, or recruit some of your neighbors to help pick-up litter in the neighborhood. The list of activities you can engage in is endless. Bottom line—pick an activity that best suits you, but do pick an activity. Give the Earth some much deserved love this Friday.
I plan to celebrate Earth Day in a few different ways, including spreading environment awareness to some of my loved ones. Botanical Paperworks makes eco-friendly paper products that grow into flowers when planted.
From bookmarks, invitations, business cards, to birth announcements, this creative company has thought of it all. The seed cards are made with post-consumer waste and are infused with wildflower seeds.
